I had the pleasure of meeting the great bluesman Johnny Lee Hooker many years ago in a nightclub on Cocoa Beach.  I was mesermized!  He was so cool.  I gave him copies of my blues lyrics and we spoke briefly before he joined his band on stage.  The joint was really rocking as he sang his blues.  At one point during the performance, he tried waving me on stage.  I just stood there shaking my head and mouthing the word "no".  Sometimes now, I could kick myself for not joining him on stage.  It was stage fright alone that kept me from doing it.

It was a magic night.  I stayed until around 2:00 p.m. and would have stayed longer if I had not had to get up to go to work the next day.  The memories from that night will stay with me forever.
